My sister and I lovingly named this dip the, “Million Dollar Dip” for three reasons:
First, and frankly the only reason that truly matters! It tastes like a million bucks and you and everyone who tries it will come back a million times for more and request the recipe.
Second, because it probably has about a million calories in it, but who cares.
Third, because it costs what feels like a million dollars to make it!
Million times worth it! I enjoy it with tortilla chips or Italian bread. Let me know what you think!
Brown the sausage in a large skillet, stirring until crumbly. Drain and add to crock pot. Add the jalapeño peppers, green Chile’s, onion, bell pepper and tomato to the crockpot. Combine with cream cheese and sour cream. Stir together and cook on low for about 2 hours of until bubbles and then leave on warm and serve right out of the crock pot. The dip becomes better the longer the ingredients simmer together.
3 pounds hot or normal sausage depending on how spicy you like it.
1 (7 oz.) can chopped jalapeño peppers, drained
2 large cans chopped green Chile’s
1 large onion, chopped
1 large bell pepper, chopped
1 large tomato, chopped
3 pounds cream cheese
2 cups sour cream
*Serves twenty-four. This recipe serves a party. I have made half and it still makes plenty to share!
